A white wall can look gray because of shadows, exposure or reflected color. If the product looks right but the backdrop is uneven, replace the backdrop instead of brightening the whole image.
Check edges against white
Preview pale products on a dark color to spot missing edges. If the subject lost detail, retry with a clearer original or use manual masking. Use a gray backdrop only where the destination permits it.
Review the original shadow
Check whether the original contact shadow was kept, softened or removed. Add a shadow only when the final design or listing permits it, and keep the actual product appearance accurate.

Is the white pure white (255,255,255)?
The white color swatch is #ffffff. You can also choose that value with the custom color input. Check the final downloaded file and the requirements of its destination.
Why not just photograph against a white wall?
A well-lit white backdrop can work. Shadows and reflected color can also make it look gray. Replacement is one option when the subject looks good but the backdrop needs cleanup.
